Our Revolution Is A Woman

While blindfolded in prison during the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in 2022, I saw the revolution continue beyond the walls. In that darkness, Iran rose; wounded yet unbroken, its spirit embodied as a fierce, unyielding woman. His painting brings that vision to life. The fallen do not vanish; their shadows dance before the female-led revolution, their sacrifice fueling the fight for freedom. In my mind’s eye, they never stopped moving; nor did the revolution.
